Daily Cantonese respects your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles data.
We Do Not Collect Personal Data
Daily Cantonese does not require registration or sign-in. We do not collect your name, phone number, email address, location, contacts, photos, payment information, or other data that identifies you.
The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
On-Device Data
To make daily content, appearance settings, and widgets work, the app stores a small amount of data locally on your device, such as:
- Appearance preference
- Language preference
- A random local seed used to select the daily entry
- Today entry state
- Cached public content-pack updates
This data is stored on your device or in app storage provided by the operating system. We do not use it to identify you.
Network Connection
The core app content can be read offline. When internet is available, the app may connect to: https://sikeii.com/dailycantonese-admin/static/dist/
This connection is used to check for and download public dictionary content updates. It does not require an account and does not upload your personal content.
As with all network requests, the server or infrastructure provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, request time, and system-level request information. Daily Cantonese does not use this information to build a personal profile or track you across apps.
Sharing
When you use the sharing feature, the app generates an image locally on your device and passes it to the system share sheet. You control where and with whom the image is shared.
Children
Daily Cantonese is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal data from children. The app does not include accounts, chat, ads, or user-generated content.
Deleting Data
You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device. Some settings may be handled by operating-system backup features depending on your device backup settings.

If the app's data handling changes materially, we will update this policy and revise the privacy disclosures in the app stores.
